The Hebrew University

In 2015, DBI was pleased to connect with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem as its charitable partner. Monies raised through DBI will support autism research and programs at the Hebrew University.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Israel’s first and leading university. A multidisciplinary institution of higher education and research, the Hebrew University inspires intellectual pioneering, cutting-edge discovery and a passion for learning. Here, students of all backgrounds receive an academic education where excellence is emphasized, postgraduate study and research are encouraged and where special programs and conferences attract students and academics from around the world.

The University is continually growing, with the addition of new buildings and the establishment of new programs.  Today, it is home to seven faculties on six campuses, over 23,000 students and close to 1,000 faculty members.

The Hebrew University’s mission is to develop Israel’s future leadership and to serve humanity by extending the frontiers of knowledge. Since opening its doors in 1925, the University has served as a gateway to success for the nation’s top leaders and innovators.  Hebrew University faculty and alumni are winners of a wealth of national and international prizes including seven Nobel Prizes, one Fields Medal, and 270 Israel prizes. The Hebrew University and its alumni have built Israel, bringing about remarkable advances in medicine, science and the arts, benefiting both the people of Israel and humanity.
